Brief description
All and whole the tenant’s interest under the lease between (1) the city of edinburgh council and (2) the artists collective gallery limited dated 21 march 2019 and subsequent date and about to be registered in the land register of scotland in respect of all and whole those subjects the city observatory and city dome, 38 calton hill, edinburgh EH7 5AA extending to an area of ground 0.3231 hectares or thereby in area in the city of edinburgh and county of midlothian which subjects are shown delineated in red on plan a and plan b annexed and signed as relative to the charge and which subjects are part and portion of (1) all and whole those subjects forming the old city observatory (otherwise known as the calton hill observatory), calton hill, edinburgh and being the subjects more particularly described in the disposition by commissioners of her majesty’s woods, forests and land revenues with consent thereinmentioned in favour of the lord provost, magistrates and council of the city of edinburgh dated 9 june and others and recorded in the division of the general register of sasines applicable to the county of edinburgh (now midlothian) on 25 june, all dates in 1896, and (2) all and whole the subjects in the city and county aforesaid disponed by and more particularly described in the disposition by lords balmerino and couper, barons of restalrig in favour of the lord provost, magistrates and council of the city of edinburgh dated sixteenth and seventeenth december seventeen hundred and twenty-four and registered in the burgh court books of edinburgh, nineteenth day of november, seventeen hundred and fifty one (dominium directum) and charter of king george I dated twenty second day of june, seventeen hundred and twenty five (dominium utile) together with the whole buildings and erections thereon and the borrower’s whole right title and interest present and future therein and thereto.
