GOLDEN TRIANGLE LEARNING CIC was set up to provide research, education, and training services with respect to emerging technologies for use in education. Our focus is on disadvantaged communities who may have little access to the expertise and services that they need to leverage the best results from technology for learning, teaching, and training. Our objective is to:Provide support, training, and advice to help educators in disadvantaged communities gain an increased understanding about how educational technology can benefit their students, so that they can make the most effective use of the technology resources that are available to them.25 communities contributed to the research we conducted about the availability and application of technology to support teaching and learning during the COVID-19 restrictions.Over 5,000 organisations and individuals have received the report of this research that was published with the help of Cambridge University Press and Educate Ventures Research. The report illustrated the differing experiences of a range of communities and highlighted inequalities in provision and benefit. It also and suggestions and advice to support greater equality. The report is freely downloadable here: https://www.educateventures.com/lessons-from-covid-19. 250 people/organisations attended a series of free webinars about the report following its publication. The work conducted in 2020/21 has informed an event that will be run in March 2022 called 'Make the Future' that will help schools develop a strategy to leverage the benefits of technology. Educators from less privileged areas will be able to attend the event without any charge or cost to their employers and join the support community that we will build online following the event.
The company's stakeholders are all those involved in education within the UK. We conducted a consultation with members of the stakeholder community when assessing the impact of COVID-19 on teaching and training. We spoke to stakeholders by phone at pre-agreed times, using a semi-structured interview methodology. We also conducted a series of surveys and daily questions that were available to all.The results of this work are published and freely available.
