ECOGROW CIC is a community growing project and forest school for both physical and mental well being in the community. The company also works with the environment, increasing biodiversity and reducing carbon through the way it designs activities, being mindful of where resources come from and keeping the use of new materials to a minimum. The company reaches an average of 40 people in the community each week through the work carried out. In addition to a maximum of 960 children during the school holidays through the Holiday Activity and Food programs which promotes education about food nutrition, the benefits of exercise and outdoor learning during the school holidays. The company supports food banks as and when it can with any surplus fresh grown food being donated to various food banks in the vicinity. The company hosts various workshops throughout the year with topics such as: cooking, bike repair, gardening for wildlife and an introduction to beekeeping.
EcoGrow CIC consults the community regularly through verbal means. At the end of each week this feedback is considered for planning the following weeks activities. In addition the company holds online surveys on their Facebook platform and invites stakeholders to complete online surveys in order to ensure communication between stakeholders is high, thus to guarantee the company can fulfil its needs.
