EcoGrow CIC manages two sites across Birmingham providing services which include: community growing, forest school, well-being activities, and environmental education workshops. The company has been bringing local residents and people from further afield to a greater awareness of the benefits of outdoor activities and have also facilitated a deeper understanding of 'whole foods', its production and health benefits. By including the participants directly and involving them in the development of activities and projects, there has been a positive evolution of belonging and purpose which has helped to ease multiple tensions that covid and its associated isolation brought. We have casually employed four staff as well as five volunteers from the local community. We have reached out to well over two hundred families who have been involved in our free forest school activities. We have directly worked with ten other food / environmental / community. Organisations, CIC's, companies and charities.
The company's stakeholders are the families and individuals residing in the local and further afield areas. We have continually used conversation and idea generation with all stakeholders new and regular to aid and develop the direction of future activities, as well as online surveys to gauge the needs and wants of the stakeholders and those close to them.
No remuneration was received
No transfer of assets other than for full consideration
