Power to Connect was set up in May 2020 during teh COVID pandemic to help ensure that all families in Wandsworth had access to internet and a laptop/device for education.We believe in digital equality for all. Our mission is to provide technology and skills to parts of the community that are digitally excluded, helping to close the digital divide. During the financial year 2021-2022, the companies’ activities have benefited the community in the following ways:collected, refurbished and redistributed over 600 laptops and tablets across 80 schools and 20 community organisations for families in the local community to keep;delivered free online safety and basic digital skills workshops to 45 parents and carers’, helping to support their families navigate the online world safety and securely;supported 20 local volunteers to feel empowered and help tackle problems in their community;supported the community to reduce e-waste by raising awareness on digital poverty and encouraging business and individuals to recycle devices locally for local need. provided part-time employment for 1 local resident
