The company has developed three areas of training which were delivered via Zoom to parents, carers, and interested parties over the year. This was funded by a grant received from Comic Relief to provide child mental health training and workshops to parents and carers in the Wigan & Bolton areas. Training included dealing with anxiety in children as well as improving relationships and dealing with trauma. The impact was measured through feedback which was exceptionally positive. The company has taken a base in the Wigan area with a view to supporting local schools and parent groups. New training is being developed which is a direct response to the fallout from the pandemic. EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) is a serious issue that can lead to school refusal and ultimately children missing in education which is why we are developing workshops for parents as well as school-based training.
Initially, parents from a secondary school in Bolton were asked what they needed in terms of information and training. We developed training around these topics which were also informed by the trauma practitioner training UMH completed. Agreement from all directors as to the direction the training should take in response to the covid pandemic. Feedback from trainees was obtained via SurveyMonkey which was extremely positive.
No remuneration was received.
No transfer of assets has been made other than for full consideration has been made.
