The company was established on the 31st January 2020 with the objects of acting as representative an looking after the interests of skateboarders in the town of Bingham in Nottinghamshire and surrounding area and ultimately constructing a skatepark and providing opportunities for volunteering, work experience, instruction and training for young people and adults to enable them to improve their quality of life and achieve their potential.In furtherance of those objects, the company has identified a number of suitable construction sites and a preferred contractor, applied for funding from various sources, successfully in one case, arranged in principle an indoor skateboarding event, registered a UK trade mark in classes 35 and 41, built and operated a popular Facebook page and designed and acquired promotional face masks and hats using its registered word and device. However, the planned indoor event and all other promotional activities had to be postponed on a number of occasions because of the Covid-19 regulations and the closure of suitable venues and the cancellation of local fairs and markets and the activities of the company have been severely restricted since its incorporation, although the 122 members of the group remain enthusiastic and supportive
The company is supported by Skate Nottingham CIC, which has been involved in the construction of a number of skateparks in Nottinghamshire and has given the company assistance and valuable advice in arranging, staffing, equipping, promoting and financing indoor events as and when circumstances permit.The company also enjoys the support of Bingham RUFC, which remains in principle prepared to make a piece of land suitable for construction of a skatepark available as and when that point is reached.Various other individuals and organisations have also lent their support to the project, including the MP for the company's constituency and its Police and Crime CommissionerThe company remains in close and regular touch with its supporters as far as current regulations permit
