INCORPORATION - The company was incorporated on 26 February 2019 and commenced trading on 23 May 2019.DIRECTORS - R P Matthews was appointed as a director after 28 February 2020 but prior to the date of this report. J P Chartres ceased to be a director after 28 February 2020 but prior to the date of this report. All the directors who are eligible offer themselves for election at the forthcoming first Annual General Meeting.

Powerhouse Creative CIC is committed to improving access to live arts and creative skills training in Herefordshire.The year to 28 February 2020 saw a number of exciting activities undertaken within the community as detailed below.- Providing training in performance skills to young people in the county, including free access to 18-34 year olds to an eight week acting course.- a summer season of the Powerhouse Actors Lab- a R&D project exploring local stories and the creation of a pilot recording of a 360 Virtual Reality film that combined local creative talents and video technology.The company was selected by the Herefordshire Great Place programme to undertake a community-embedded pop-up project in the city centre, providing months of free writing skills classes and workshops and a second round of acting classes.The project enabled the transformation of an empty retail unit in the centre of the city to become a writers workshop, a rehearsal and performance space, providing high quality training in creative skills.
We work consistently with our stakeholders, which include young people inHerefordshire, early career artists and practitioners, established professionals working within the creative industries; and local cultural organisations.Consultation is conducted via email, telephone, and face-to-face meetings, video conferencing and Powerhouse hosted sessions.We have a growing and engaged online following where we can digitally showcase creative talents in the region alongside our classroom-based work.The needs of the community and the numerous stakeholders listed above constantly inform our activities and future roadmap as a company.
The directors remuneration information is within the notes of the annual accounts.There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with theremuneration of directors, or compensation for director's loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
