Plastic Tactics is for plastic adventures. The company creates spaces for the public and businesses to explore what they can make from their own plastic. During the financial year 2019-2020, the company's activity benefitted the community in the following ways: - Delivered 12 Plastic Playgroup sessions at DoES Liverpool, which are free public workshops where anyone can make something useful from their own plastic in order to build confidence, community and knowledge of topics relating to plastic. Playgroups were suspended during the pandemic and could not be safely delivered after March in the financial year. - Supervised 6 student projects who worked together to design a reverse-vending machine due to be installed at the Liverpool Guild of Students to create a small circular economy on campus. - Distributed 5 'no touch tools' made from recycled plastic to members of the community around Lodge Lane. - Used the company's laser cutting experience to co-ordinate 5 volunteers in making face visor bands as part of the DoES Liverpool visor project. - Spoke with local people and organisations as partners with the Webster Triangle & Beyond Community Engagement Event, on BBC Radio Merseyside and on Liverpool Community Radio, and a panel at a Red Bull event with over 100 attendees.
