Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC provides specialist supported housing and supported tenancies with tenancy support in the local community, this is for the most vulnerable people in the community that have mild to severe mental health and learning disabilities, we also provide this service to our tenants . The company also provides access to pre-vocational activities for therapeutic purposes through partners and local resources as well as access to supported employment. The company excels in intensive housing management with support and supervision, for supported tenancies for vulnerable adults. The company acquires properties from the private rental market at the request of the NHS CCG’s, Adult Social Services and local Care Providers. In the year to 30 September 2022 the company has expanded its housing stock to Inner London Boroughs and paired with the NHS CHC for adapting living spaces for complex clients with intense needs, such as providing sensory rooms and mobility aids in the properties. Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC facilitates an otherwise perplexing process for vulnerable adults by sourcing homes and helping the tenant or subtenant to sustain and maintain their tenancy, whilst encouraging them to live more independently moving from specialised twenty-four hour supported living accommodation to independent living with support. The company activities have benefited the local community by not only supporting the local private sector rental market and rental economy but also helped to transform the lives of the vulnerable people in our sourced accommodations who in turn are made acquainted with the resources of local services in the community. Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC also provides step-up accommodation for the intensely vulnerable, working closely with local Care Providers and NHS Trusts to house and manage tenancies in shared supported living services as well as lone accommodations.
The stakeholders are vulnerable people in specialised supported accommodation provided by Greater London Supported Accommodation CIC. The stakeholders are consulted as part of regular key-working sessions with their tenancy support workers and care provider support workers working in conjunction with us, on an ongoing basis. The company has identified specialist requirements for adaptations to the personal living spaces from these consultations and better identified the needs of the stakeholders as to what would make living in the community more useful to their needs and accessible by providing more support in areas such as area maps, local residents guides and access to the services available to the local communities. In the year we have introduced tenants to access to supported employment.
