September brought with it numerous challenges as INFACT had been asked to give evidence to the Health
Select Committee about the campaign and the experience of those harmed by Valproate, however due to the
train strikes was put back until December. We had also been contacted by production companies who, due
to 2023 being the 50th year of Valproate, wanted to make a documentary of the topic. Then came the terrible
news from Buckingham Palace that the Queen had died and everything came to a stop. However, Janet
Williams, due to receiving her MBE back in April received an invite to the funeral and was accompanied by
colleague Emma Murphy to travel with her. The experience was very emotional, an experience which will
never be forgotten.
