The directors confirm that they believe the company is still a going concern and that they will undertake to ensure that adequate financial resources are provided to the company to enable it to meet its liabilities as they fall due. As a result of this, the accounts have been prepared on a going concern basis. Significant creditors include the directors and associated companies. As a consequence the directors have agreed not to demand the liabilities in a manner that would adversely effect the company's ability to meet its commitments.
Stocks
Stocks and work in progress are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.
Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all material timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.
Hire purchase and leasing commitments
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the profit and loss account on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.
Financial Instruments
Financial instruments are classified and accounted for in accordance with the substance of the contractual arrangement rather than their legal form as either financial assets, financial liabilities or equity instruments. An equity instrument is a contract that evidences a residual interest in the assets of the company after deducting all of its liabilities.
