Basis of preparing the financial statements |
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland "including" the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities", and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention. |
The financial statements are presented in Sterling (£) and rounded to the nearest £. |
The preparation of financial statements in compliance with FRS102 requires the use of certain critical accounting estimates. It also requires management to exercise judgement in applying the Company's accounting policies. None are considered critical to the preparation of the financial statements. |
The significant accounting policies applied in the preparation of these financial statements are set out below. These policies have been consistently applied to all periods presented unless otherwise stated. |
Going Concern |
The Directors of the Company have assessed the impact of the current economic climate on the Company. Given that the Company is a group subsidiary that does not actively trade and has no immediate intentions to begin trading, the Directors consider that there will be no impact on the Company. |
Financial instruments |
The Company only enters into basic financial instruments that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade and other debtors and creditors and loans from and to related parties. |
Taxation |
Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the statement of financial position date. |
Foreign currencies |
Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the statement of financial position date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result. |
Debtors |
Debtors are measured at transaction price less any impairment. |
Cash equivalents |
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty on notice of not more than 24 hours. Cash equivalents are highly liquid investments that mature in no more than three months from the date of acquisition and that are readily convertible to known amounts of cash with insignificant risk of change in value. |

6. | AUDITORS' INFORMATION |
The auditors' report on the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2022 was unqualified and there were no matters to which the auditor drew attention by way of emphasis. |
The audit report was signed on 14 September 2023 by John Atkins ACA FCCA (Senior Statutory Auditor) on behalf of Larking Gowen LLP. |
7. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
The company has taken advantage of exemption, under the terms of Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland', not to disclose related party transactions with wholly owned subsidiaries within the group. |
