Accounting policies |
Basis of preparation |
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard).
Turnover |
Turnover represents dividends from the subsidiary undertaking WA Goold (Holdings) Limited.
Investments |
Fixed asset investments are stated at cost less any provisions for diminution in value.
Going concern |
The financial statements have been prepared using the going concern basis of accounting. After making enquiries, the director has a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for a period of no less than 12 months from the date of signing the financial statements. For this reason he continues to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. |
Group accounts |
The financial statements present information about the company as an individual undertaking and not about its group. The company and its subsidiary undertaking comprise a small-sized group. The company has therefore taken advantage of the exemptions provided by section 398 of the Companies Act 2006 not to prepare group accounts. |
