Despite the challenges of working during the height of the Covid epidemic in the UK, and especially as it developed in
the Bradford and Keighley areas, Community Cougars Foundation are pleased to report that we did not have to access
the government furlough scheme (to maintain our provision to those who most needed it). Indeed, we were able to
adapt and expand our services (to include also a greater number of not in education at-risk young people) by working
with community partners (e.g. secondary schools, Keighley Council, and local parents, carers, and youth services) to
ensure mutual financial sustainability. During this financial year, our income from public sector grants has increased
and, despite the additional cost of ensuring we followed strict national and local Covid restrictions and safety
guidelines, we were able to maintain a £30,000 reserve amount.
