Additional information
I am pleased to present my report for the financial year ended 31st March 2018. We are now in what has proved to be another transitional year of operation, with turnover falling this time to £535 and a small profit of £36 duly recorded. However these declining performance figures are in line with expectations re. a year where much time was taken up on ongoing research projects and finding yet another site for the premises, now in Wales. This move to Wales will take place in April 2018. Of course to move the business again after such a short time could be seen as a gamble, but as outlined below it has already paid off as it will enable more regular income streams to be sourced in the future. Of course the preparations for this locational upheaval have left little available time to do chargeable wok. Furthermore the ongoing research process has continued to find more material than originally envisaged. Current estimates indicate that this ongoing viewing process will continue into the new financial year and may even stretch into 2019-2020. As such the third editions of the England Rugby Chronicle book project are now scheduled to be published in either 2019 or 2020. I remain confident that the finished product will, as ever, be worth the wait, such is the continued value of the new research material to the overall product. Furthermore there may be another new book project evolving from this ongoing research. As such I am confident that the company will continue to flourish in 2018-2019. In the meantime there are a number of plus points: A new accounts client has been sourced in Neath, which will provide ongoing regular work in 2019-2020 once the business has physically moved location. Social media continues to provide a usefully cost-effective tool for maintaining the profile of the England Rugby Chronicle project in the public eye. The new editions will be marketed by way of mailshots to English rugby clubs. Moreover there is always the possibility of future ongoing clients in the field of private history tutoring for schoolchildren, this time in the business’ impending new location in Wales. Anoeth Limited continues to maintain a small webshop selling books on Abebooks.com and it is envisaged there will be at least some presence on musical recording and rugby memorabilia online trading sites in 2018-2019. I have decided not to propose any dividends to the shareholders for the financial year 2015-2016. Funds will be required to market the England Rugby Chronicle in due course. Of course the matter of future dividends will be placed up for discussion at the next AGM on 22nd December 2018. The above report has been prepared in accordance with the special provisions in part 15 of the Companies Act 2006
