3. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
|
BASIS OF PREPARING THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention unless otherwise specified |
within these accounting policies. |
|
The company has net current liabilities of £159,998 (2017 - £175,551) and overall net liabilities of £118,139 |
(2017 - £117,009). The company has support from its major creditors, Unilet Limited and Estates UK Limited |
who have loaned the company monies amounting to £214,368 (2017 - £213,507), which although are repayable |
upon demand, both creditors have agreed not to pursue re payment until the company has adequate resources to |
repay the loans in full. On this basis, the director con siders the company to be a going concern and no |
adjustments have been included which would result from a withdrawal of the loans from Unilet Limited and |
Estates UK Limited. |
|
TURNOVER |
Turnover represents invoiced hire sales net of discounts and Value Added Tax. |
Turnover is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the Company |
and the turnover can be reliably measured. |
Turnover is measured as the fair value of the consideration received or receivable during the year and recognised |
upon completion of the hire term. |
|
TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS |
Tangible fixed assets under the cost model are stated at historical cost less accumulated depreciation and any |
accumulated impairment losses. Historical cost includes expenditure that is directly attributable to bringing the |
asset to the location and condition necessary for it to be capable of operating in the manner intended by |
management. |
Depreciation is charged so as to allocate the cost of assets less their residual value over their estimated useful |
lives using the straight line method on the following basis |
|
Motor vehicles. - 25% straight line |
|
The assets' residual values, useful lives and depreciation methods are reviewed and adjusted prospectively if |
appropriate, or if there is an indication of a significant change since the last reporting date. |
|
Gains and losses on disposals are determined by comparing the proceeds with the carrying amount and are |
recognised in the Income Statement and retained earnings. |
|
TAXATION |
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to |
the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
|
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
|
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or |
substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |

DEFERRED TAX |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance |
sheet date. |
|
Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from |
those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that |
have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the |
timing difference. |
|
Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they |
will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits. |
