Work-in-progress is stated at the lower of cost or net realisable value. Cost includes all direct costs incurred as well as bank and loan interest for the purchase of development properties and the funding of the subsequent development expenses. Net realisable value is based on estimated selling price allowing for all further costs of completion.
Deferred Taxation
Provision is made for deferred taxation using the liability method to take account of timing differences between the incidence of income and expenditure for taxation and accounting purposes.
