1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
|
Basis of preparation |
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller |
Entities (effective January 2015) and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared |
under the historical cost convention. |
|
The accounts have been prepared having regard to Technical Release 03/11 Residential Service Charge |
Accounts published jointly by the professional accountancy bodies, ARMA and RICS. |
|
Following advice in this technical release, service charge monies that are received from the residents of 1 to 6 St |
Mary's Court, Great North Road, Eaton Socon, St Neots, Cambridgeshire, PE19 8ED held in trust for the |
residents and the relating expenditure on maintenance of the common parts, in accordance with the lease, are |
shown in separate service charge accounts for the property that do not form part of the annual accounts. |

Provision for future maintenance costs |
Funds received in excess of expenditure during the year are held on trust for the lessees of flats 1 - 6 St Mary's |
Court, Great North Road, Eaton Socon, St Neots, Cambridge, PE19 8ED to meet future substantial maintenance |
expenditure. The total of these funds are included within the balance sheet as deferred income. The details of |
movements are set out in note 6. |
