1. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
|
Accounting convention |
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the revaluation of certain |
assets and in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective January 2015). |
|
Investment properties |
In accordance with the accounting standards, changes in values of investment properties are charged or credited to a |
revaluation reserve and reflected in the statement of total recognised gains and losses for the year. This is a departure |
from Companies Act 2006 which requires that all changes in value should be taken through the profit and loss account. |
|
In order to show a true and fair value the accounting standard has been adopted by the directors. |
|
Deferred tax |
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet |
date. Deferred tax is not recognised when assets are revalued unless, by the balance sheet date, the Company has |
entered into a binding agreement to sell the assets and recognised the gains and losses expected to arise on sale. |
